Responsibilities & Context
Project Requisition & Material Planning
- Prepare project-wise material requisitions based on BOQ and engineering inputs.
- Review requisitions for accuracy, specifications and completeness.
- Monitor project material requirements and follow up.
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Communicate with existing vendors for pricing, lead time, technical clarification and material availability.
- Assist in collecting quotations and preparing price comparison sheets.
- Evaluate vendor performance and maintain vendor database.
- Support negotiation and procurement processes as required.
Inter-Department Coordination
- Act as the primary SCM contact for Engineering and Project Execution teams.
- Ensure timely communication of procurement status, pending issues and delivery updates.
- Follow up with relevant teams regarding technical clearances and project priorities.
Documentation, Reporting & Market Sourcing
- Maintain all SCM-related documents: requisitions, supplier communication, delivery tracking and compliance records.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports: procurement status, pending requisitions, delivery schedules and supplier performance.
- Conduct regular market visits to identify new suppliers, collect pricing and understand market trends.
- Source new suppliers, collect samples for engineering evaluation.
- Preparing work orders for vendors.
